Carol Jean Wilson was a Lieutenant with the Ponchatoula Police Department. She is a woman who has overcome overwhelming obstacles most people could not handle. She has prevailed over being abused as a child, molested, watching her husband and daughter die and having 2 parents commit suicide. She has had to fight her way through the male dominant law enforcement culture to establish herself a strong confident woman that has worked her way up through the ranks. She has been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety and depression. She has had to overcome all these things by becoming stronger. She has proved to each person who put her down, humiliated her at the lowest points in her life, spoke to her like she was nothing and beneath them, that she was the better person. This is her struggle for 35 years and how she became the confident proud woman she is today.
